Peter Cornetta

Peter is a Senior Managing Director at Porchlight Equity with 20 years of professional experience, 18 of which have been investing across an array of industries including consumer, retail, ecommerce, industrial, healthcare and media. His experiences range in diversity from majority to minority investments in both growth equity and leveraged buyout transactions and he is involved in all aspects of the investment process from investment origination, transaction negotiation, and execution of post-closing development.

Experience

Before Porchlight Peter was a Managing General Partner of Highland Consumer Partners, managing all aspects of the firm. Prior to joining Highland, he was a Managing Director with H.I.G Capital, a leading private equity fund focused on the middle market.  In addition to being an active investor in the firm’s leveraged buyout fund, he was hired in 2003 to assist in the development of the firm’s Boston office.  In addition, Peter was a Principal at Advent International, a global private equity firm based in Boston, MA, and worked as an Associate for Richards Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm based in Atlanta, GA.  He started his professional career as an Analyst with NationsBanc Capital Markets, Inc.

Peter serves on the Board of Directors of Indochino Apparel, Inc., Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, PaintNite LLC, and Rens Pet Depot, and has held board positions with American Radiology Services, Captivate Networks, Farley Doors & Windows, Life+Gear, Merrick Pet Care, National Petcare (observer), Pro Pet, LLC, Resort Sports Network, StriVectin, The Spring Air Company, and Tubular Textiles, Inc.

Interests

Peter currently lives in Franklin, MA, the town in which he was raised, with his wife and three children. Peter enjoys running, yoga, golf, coaching youth sports and is an active owner of thoroughbred horses. Lastly, Peter remains involved in a charitable organization founded by his mother called Friends of Franklin and is a member of the Finance Committee at The Rivers School.
